What's new.

Every version of PPTX Native, in plain words. The newest is at the top.

v1.3.0Your photos, your template
  1. v1.3.0 Latest

    Your photos, your template

Attach your photos, logo or company template, and slides now use their space better.

    • New
      Your own photos and screenshots

Attach photos, screenshots or a logo and three new layouts place them: one picture with text, a grid of up to six, or a full-bleed photo. Phone photos are turned upright and large files are shrunk.

    • New
      Build inside your company template

Attach a .pptx or .potx template and the deck uses its fonts, colours, background and logo. Page numbers move clear of the logo.

    • Improved
      Fuller, better balanced slides

Cards, tables, timelines and lists grow to use the space, and content no longer hugs the headline over an empty lower half. Slides that look empty are flagged before you see them.

    • Improved
      Accessible by default

Every slide has a real title, each part becomes a PowerPoint section, and charts, tables and pictures carry alt text. PowerPoint's Accessibility Checker finds no missing alt text.

    • Improved
      Length that fits the request

Decks match the ask, for example 20 to 35 slides for an analysis, and go long when you ask for depth.

    • Improved
      Edits fit your deck better

New slides added to a deck let its own background and logo show through and join the right section.

  2. v1.2.1

    Steadier slide previews

A small fix for Gemini's Task mode: previews of your slides no longer stall.

    • Fixed
      Slide previews no longer stall

In Task mode, turning the deck into a PDF could hang. The skill now gives LibreOffice a folder it can write to and checks the PDF is there before making previews.

    • Improved
A clear message if previews fail

If previews still can't be made, the skill finishes its other checks and tells you the exact error instead of stopping.

  3. v1.2.0

    Edit your existing decks

Hand it a deck you already have and say what to change.

    • New
Edit a deck you already have

Attach a .pptx and say what to change. It rewrites text, updates tables and chart data, changes speaker notes, and reorders or deletes slides.

    • New
Redesign slides in your deck's own style

New and redesigned slides use your deck's fonts and colours, so they match the rest.

    • Improved
      Any widescreen slide size

Works with any 16:9 deck, not just PowerPoint's default 13.33 × 7.5 in.

    • Fixed
      Small layout fixes

KPI tiles with icons, and rotated labels on chart axes.

  4. v1.1.0

    Now called PPTX Native

A new name, and a one-line install for Google Antigravity.

    • New
      New name

build-pptx-deck is now PPTX Native. In Gemini, upload pptx-native.zip as a new skill, then delete the old one.

    • New
      Works in Google Antigravity

Install with one line on macOS, Linux or Windows, or with npx.

  5. v1.0.0

    First release

The first public version, as build-pptx-deck for the Gemini app.

    • New
      Real PowerPoint from one line

Researched, designed .pptx decks with native charts, tables and icons, where every element stays editable.

    • New
      Checks its own work

A built-in checker catches text overflow and overlapping shapes before you see the deck.
